Writing Letters to Our Super Stars

Letter Writing Campaign

We hope you’re having a wonderful Tuesday, Super Stars! A lot of people in our community are thinking of different and creative ways to help families out during this time, and we would like to present one of our ideas! Since our volunteers can no longer visit our school sites and read to our students, our amazing volunteer coordinator, Marwa Abubakr, thought it would be a good idea to start a letter writing campaign.

Our virtual letter-writing campaign is an opportunity to connect with our Super Stars at home! During this time, it is important for our students know that they are being thought of. Therefore, the letters you write will be virtually sent to our 1st and 2nd grade Super Stars! You can write about fun activities you’ve been doing at home, the shows or movies you’re watching, or share how you’ve been staying motivated during this time. Anything works!

We all know how meaningful a simple act of kindness could be. Your letters can impact our students and encourage them during this challenging moment in our community. If you or a team you’re a part of are interested, please contact Marwa Abubakr (mabubakr@superstarsliteracy.org) with a scanned or typed PDF version your letter, or if you have any questions. We can’t wait to hear from you and to show your letters to our Super Stars!
